FarmSTAND (anteriormente el Food Project at Public Justice), Animal Legal Defense Fund, Center for Biological Diversity, Center for Food Safety y Food and Water Watch presentaron una demanda contra la Agencia de Servicios Agr\u00edcolas por su patr\u00f3n y pr\u00e1ctica de violar la Ley de Libertad de Informaci\u00f3n (FOIA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La FSA exhibi\u00f3 un patr\u00f3n y una pr\u00e1ctica de retenci\u00f3n de informaci\u00f3n que deber\u00eda estar disponible p\u00fablicamente, violando as\u00ed su obligaci\u00f3n legal. Hubo un retraso sistem\u00e1tico en las respuestas de la FSA a las solicitudes de acceso a la informaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica (FOIA) de los demandantes. Los documentos que la FSA s\u00ed proporcion\u00f3 estaban tan enmascarados que eran ilegibles. Adem\u00e1s, la agencia reten\u00eda regularmente miles de p\u00e1ginas de informaci\u00f3n no exentas, interpretando y aplicando err\u00f3neamente las limitadas excepciones previstas en la FOIA.
